Who is your favorite relative and why?

My favorite relative is my Granddad Kelley.  This is a man who stepped in to be my dad, since my lived in a different city.  This is a man who was there for me each day of my childhood, who led me physically, emotionally & spiritually.  He would have given me the whole world if he could have.  He was my protector and my guide.  He taught me so many big life lessons, but most of all what it is like to always put God first and family next.  My granddad was my #1 fan and he will always be my favorite relative

The biggest influence in your life and how?

My mother is the one person who has had the biggest influence in my life.  Her influence may not have always been the best influence, but it is most certainly the biggest.  She taught me to be independent & to never depend on anyone, but God.  I spent my life watching her & she taught me how to treat people.  She was my biggest cheerleader and always encouraged me to get my education and to be the best I can be.  Watching her go through life, a lot of times the hard way, it most certainly was influential on how I knew I needed to live out my life.

What is the hardest thing you have ever had to do?

I would have to say one of the hardest things I have ever had to do, will be one the hardest things I will continue to do & that is watching my son navigate his way in this world.  I want to do nothing more than protect him from the hurt and disappointments of the world, even though I know this is not the best for him, this is what makes it so hard.

If you could do everything again, what would you do differently?

I can honestly say at this point in life, there is not anything I would do differently.  I do not have any regrets for any of the decisions or choices I have made.  The choices I have made throughout my life are the things that have shaped me into the person I am today.  If I had to choose something, it would be to travel more, see the world & to help those in need more.

What is the most profound spiritual moment of your life?

I am not sure that I have had this moment yet, but at this point in my life, it would be how Christ carried me through my cancer journey.  I’ve always known how powerful prayer is, but when you are in the midst of a life altering journey such as this, and you have so many lifting you up in prayer, it is an over whelming feeling.  The power of grace, mercy, & healing will be a spiritual moment that I will forever be grateful for, for the power of Christ is indescribable!
