Located at 3100 NW College Dr. Fort Worth, TX, The Cinco Peso Press is a student-run journalistic publication founded in 2012. Overseen by Adviser Mary Beth Lee and editors Cara Wimberley, Abby Rojas, Rebecca Veber and Dana Risher, we attempt to cover a wide variety of topics and provide important information to our mostly student readers.

Our name was born from the legend of the Texas Rangers. Some of the first badges were made from silver Mexican cinco peso coins. These badges helped identify Rangers in disputes that may have involved several different law enforcement agencies. The circle-star badge represents something official and protective.

As these lawmen have served the people they protect, we strive to bring accurate and unbiased news to the Ranger community of which we are a part.
